We are excited to launch our customized technology web platform, www.diversifypittsburgh.com, to help qualified disadvantaged businesses learn about and apply for government contracts and business opportunities.
RCI brings technology solutions to residents, community resource partners, and entrepreneurs via CoLab18, the region’s first community digital learning lab. As a state-of-the-art conference center, CoLab18 offers the necessary technology and conference room space for trainings, meetings, and development endeavors.
The last Economic Impact Study and Report on the services and programs provided through RCI confirms the incredible impact that our board-approved programming and activities have on the regional economy. The study, which covered 2009 to 2013, found that:
As of January 2020, we have helped 250 business owners access interest-free capital through our partnership with Kiva, the world’s largest micro-lender. Those entrepreneurs have collectively received 278 loans for a total of $1,536,625. We have also connected over 44 businesses with pro bono legal services for a total of over $1 million in free services to disadvantaged businesses through our partnership with Reed Smith.
We look forward to continuing to share our growing menu of services as well as the results of our 2014 to 2018 impact study.
